An impact maker with a mission. This is who I am.
I’m Nicole van Schaik – impact strategist, moderator and voice-over artist; initiator and founder of De Impactrevolutie (“The Impact Revolution”) in the Netherlands, and founder of the social impact enterprise Full Circle. With my experience and international network, I strengthen people, stories and initiatives that build a fairer and more sustainable society.
As an innovator and creative connector, I translate vision into strategy and strategy into action. I help accelerate social and systemic change. I collaborate with leaders, creators and organisations across journalism, media, culture, business and philanthropy to turn ambition into meaningful social impact – on stage, behind the microphone and within organisations.
What brought me here
My roots are in international documentary journalism and the non-profit world. For fourteen years, I proudly worked at Doc Society, using independent documentaries and strategic impact campaigns to drive social and environmental change. I helped build the field and define the role – and the very term – impact producer, co-created the global Impact Field Guide, trained the first generation of impact producers across all continents, and co-founded the Global Impact Producer Alliance (GIPA). I established Doc Society’s European office in the Netherlands, led the global rollout of Good Pitch, raised millions for the field, and built international coalitions and partnerships. Through this work, I helped develop a more sustainable and inclusive media and cultural ecosystem. impactproducent, co-creëerde de wereldwijde Impact Field Guide, trainde de eerste generatie impactproducenten op elk continent en was mede-oprichter van de Global Impact Producer Alliance (GIPA). Ook zette ik de Europese vestiging van Doc Society in Nederland op, leidde ik de wereldwijde uitrol van het Good Pitch programma, haalde miljoenen op voor de sector en bouwde internationale coalities en partnerschappen. Zo droeg ik bij aan de ontwikkeling van een duurzamer en inclusiever media- en cultureel ecosysteem.
Through Full Circle, I continue that mission: connecting journalism, media, culture, business and philanthropy, and supporting both impact makers and impact funders to drive lasting social and systemic change. My strength lies in uniting vision and strategy, bringing together the right people and ideas, and sparking action through purposeful strategic advice, hands-on guidance and practical training. I deliberately focus on the bigger picture: structural change that goes beyond one-off projects or short-term campaigns.
As the initiator and founder of De Impactrevolutie (“The Impact Revolution”), I’m helping build a strong infrastructure for impact production in the Netherlands. I also host events as a moderator and facilitator – always with flair, depth, curiosity and empathy – creating space for genuine connection and meaningful dialogue. And I give stories a voice as a voice-over artist.
After studying journalism in the Netherlands, South Africa and Wales, and living and working for years in the United States and the United Kingdom, and travelling the world, I returned home to my roots in the Netherlands in 2018. Here, I use my knowledge, experience and network to build structural change together with others – for today and for generations to come.
